You’ll lead drivers and garage staff at Wandsworth, balancing people management, service delivery, road safety and operational performance. Responsibilities cover attendance, welfare, development, route-risk assessment, accident prevention, payroll accuracy, contract compliance and public enquiries, with close working across unions and senior managers. Transport or logistics experience, strong performance-management capability, KPI and financial awareness and solid health-and-safety knowledge are required; Management CPC is expected or must be pursued.
What You'll Work On
- Lead drivers and garage staff against safety and performance standards, managing attendance, welfare, induction, probation and employee-performance processes at the garage.
- Conduct route-risk assessments and monitor road-safety and accident-prevention performance, addressing issues with staff and relevant operational colleagues as required.
- Oversee payroll, contracts, public enquiries and health-and-safety controls, working with trade unions and senior leaders on garage management matters.

- Preferred: Strong health-and-safety knowledge; IOSH or NEBOSH is desirable.
- Qualification: Management CPC or willingness to work toward it.
