What You'll Work On
- Lead and develop the engineering team and oversee daily depot, workshop and infrastructure activity for the West of England.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, vehicle-maintenance and quality standards across engineering operations and workshop activity.
- Monitor departmental budgets and subcontractor performance while managing engineering activity to reduce vehicle downtime and lost mileage.
- Conduct staff training, performance reviews and development planning, maintaining communication with senior management and teams across the business.
- Develop engineering processes and continuous-improvement initiatives, reviewing performance against fleet availability, maintenance quality and workshop-efficiency measures.

What They Are Looking For
- Experience: Engineering-management or supervisory experience and team-development capability are sought.
- Qualification: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is sought.

- Technical: SAP, Microsoft Office, safe systems of work, risk assessments and engineering standards are sought.
- Preferred: A full PCV licence and/or forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one, is desirable.
