Key Notes
Significant large-scale technology-transformation and systems-integration experience is required. You’ll connect engineering, architecture, suppliers, commercial activity and operational readiness across TfL Oyster and Contactless programmes from mobilisation to handover. The permanent role is hybrid in Redhill and includes coordinating configuration, software testing and change decisions across interdependent delivery workstreams.
What You'll Work On
- Shape the end-to-end technical delivery strategy for major revenue-collection programmes.
- Coordinate dependencies and resolve ambiguity across engineering, architecture, delivery, operations and suppliers.
- Translate technical requirements into executable plans, governance and transition activity.
- Establish integrated engineering lifecycles, environments, build pipelines, testing, deployment and service-management processes.
Why This Role Matters
- Oyster and Contactless programmes contain interdependent supplier and engineering workstreams; coordinated milestones expose gaps between technical delivery and the operational arrangements required for handover.
- Software configuration, testing and change decisions feed the same ticketing service, so programme integration gives teams a common view of dependencies before future enhancements enter operation.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: Applicants need degree or equivalent experience in computing, IT, engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: Applicants need significant transport, ticketing or regulated-sector technology-transformation and integration experience.
- Experience: Applicants need full-lifecycle mobilisation, supplier transition and service-handover capability.
- Technical: Applicants need strong knowledge of software delivery, build, test, release and deployment with excellent senior-stakeholder influence.
