TfL ticketing and access-system integration spans requirements, architecture, verification, validation and deployment in this 15-month fixed-term post. The hybrid Redhill role works with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is essential, and the role includes domestic and international travel where required for delivery and customer engagement.
What You'll Work On
- Lead requirements capture, analysis and decomposition for complex integration projects and facilitate technical workshops with customers and stakeholders.
- Design and document system architectures, functional designs, interface specifications, statements of work and integration strategies.
- Maintain traceability from customer and business requirements through technical design, verification and validation.
- Coordinate software, hardware and project teams through integration, testing, deployment and resolution of technical issues.

What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: A degree in Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is essential.
- Experience: Full-lifecycle systems engineering on complex integration or technology projects is essential.
- Technical: Structured requirements analysis, decomposition and management, system architecture and integration knowledge are essential.
- Technical: Software-interface experience including HTTP/S, REST and JSON, plus verification, validation and testing knowledge, is essential.
- Stakeholder: Customer and technical-stakeholder experience, technical documentation and presentation skills are essential.
- Preferred: Transport/ticketing, IBM DOORS, UML/Enterprise Architect, Windows and UNIX/Linux, ITIL awareness, or INCOSE/ITIL certification or a relevant postgraduate qualification are desirable.
