Significant solution-architecture experience across large, business-critical technology platforms is required. You’ll design and govern changes to TfL’s Oyster and Contactless revenue-collection ecosystem, taking solutions from requirements through operational handover. The permanent role is hybrid in Redhill and includes high-level and detailed designs, interface decisions and engagement with TfL’s Technical Authority.
What You'll Work On
- Create end-to-end solution architectures, HLDs, LLDs, interfaces and decision records.
- Lead architecture workshops and secure technical-authority approval.
- Assure security, resilience, performance, supportability, scalability and operational readiness through delivery.
- Build context diagrams, component and integration maps, data flows, patterns and governance for the wider architecture practice.
Why This Role Matters
- Oyster and Contactless changes cross devices, payment services, back offices and suppliers; approved designs establish how those components should interact before implementation and operational handover.
- TfL’s revenue-collection architecture records systems and data flows across the estate, giving programme teams a shared view of dependencies when assessing proposed technical changes.
