Rail and infrastructure construction sites in Leeds are the current base for this Arriva Site Manager. The permanent role is 40 hours a week and takes responsibility for site teams, resources, safe work documentation and delivery reporting. A relevant HNC, HND, degree or equivalent and worksite management experience are required; future projects may be elsewhere in the UK, so flexibility for national travel is essential.
What You'll Work On
- Plan and oversee site construction delivery with project managers, coordinating timescales, labour, materials, plant and budgets against client requirements.
- Direct site teams and subcontractors, review construction methods and support buildability decisions while maintaining safe and compliant delivery standards.
- Coordinate HSQE plans, permits and safe work documentation, undertaking Person in Charge duties where required and investigating site incidents or delays.
- Report progress and changes, support recovery of variation costs and complete as-built, operation, maintenance and handover records at project close-out.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: Relevant HNC, HND, degree or equivalent in construction, engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: Previous construction or infrastructure worksite management, including teams, subcontractors, resources and safe delivery to time and budget.
- Domain: Construction methodology and health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- Stakeholder: Leadership, planning, decision-making and communication skills for site delivery.
- Eligibility: Flexibility to travel for future projects across the UK.
