Rail engineering assurance and multidisciplinary governance are the responsibilities of RTS Infrastructure’s CEM. You’ll lead technical coordination from design through commissioning and handback, overseeing CREs and Form A, B and C submissions. Significant permanent-way delivery and CEM or senior CRE experience are required, with a relevant degree or equivalent industry experience. The permanent, full-time Leeds role is forty hours and hybrid, with flexibility for project travel across the UK.
What You'll Work On
- Lead engineering assurance across rail design, construction, testing, commissioning and handback, maintaining coordinated and constructible technical deliverables.
- Review Form A, B and C submissions and guide CREs and CRE-Cs, ensuring delivery teams receive approved technical information before work starts.
- Manage engineering risks, interfaces and technical changes across track, civils, signalling, OLE and telecoms, maintaining records and CDM compliance.
- Coordinate client and supplier technical relationships and support bids, planning engineering resources and risk assessments and promoting value engineering on rail projects.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: A civil-engineering or related degree, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience: Significant rail permanent-way delivery and proven CEM or senior CRE experience.
- Domain: Rail engineering assurance, technical governance, industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience: Oversight of multidisciplinary engineering activities and teams.
- Stakeholder: Leadership, analytical problem solving and clear client and colleague communication.
- Eligibility: Flexibility to travel to UK project sites.
