Rolling-stock warranty management and quality assurance are the work of this Arriva TrainCare engineer. You’ll revise warranty processes, coordinate returns and callouts and support joint customer investigations and technical reporting. An engineering HNC, people-management capability and rail-maintenance or warranty experience are required. The full-time Crewe contract runs for four months, at 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 08:00–16:00, with UK travel, overnight attendance and management on-call duties; physical quality work indicates expected on-site attendance.
What You'll Work On
- Manage rail-maintenance warranty processes and customer material returns, coordinating callouts and investigations at relevant depots and customer sites.
- Carry out quality checks and support warranty maintenance activity, interpreting engineering evidence and resolving contract-related quality issues with customers.
- Prepare technical reports and engineering KPIs using Microsoft Office and SAP, coordinating Commercial and Engineering around warranty performance and mobilisation.
- Attend warranty meetings and contribute market information, maintaining quality-accreditation and depot-safety requirements and participating in the management on-call rota.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: An engineering HNC and people-management capability.
- Experience: Rolling stock, rail maintenance and warranty management, engineering drawings and production-efficiency tools.
- Domain: ROSCO, TOC or FOC relationships and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation knowledge.
- Domain: Fire safety, COSHH, PTS, depot safety, incident reporting, electrical awareness and work-at-height knowledge.
- Eligibility: UK customer or depot travel, occasional overnight and out-of-hours attendance and management on-call participation.
