Key Notes
Hotels and Car Hire are Trainline’s new business lines, and this role turns their strategy into roadmaps, launches, governance and decision-ready reporting. The London vacancy publishes £70,000–£80,000 plus bonus and follows the minimum 60% office attendance over 12 weeks. Travel, hotel or OTA experience is helpful rather than required; programme rigour, ambiguity management and senior influence carry greater weight.
What You'll Work On
- Translate Hotels and Car Hire strategy into structured roadmaps, milestones and success measures across Trainline’s New Verticals programme.
- Own major product launches and feature rollouts, resolving cross-functional dependencies, risks and decisions before they become delivery blockers.
- Build the programme governance rhythm and maintain performance updates, business reviews and steering-committee materials for leadership decisions.
- Connect Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product, Design and Commercial partners, addressing cross-team friction without relying on formal authority.
- Co-create New Verticals strategy with functional leads while converting loosely defined opportunities into executable operating plans.
Why This Role Matters
- Hotels and Car Hire launches combine product, commercial, legal and operational dependencies; structured roadmaps and active risk resolution determine whether multi-party releases stay coordinated.
- New Verticals leadership and steering committees use performance reporting and decision-ready narratives to choose priorities as the programme builds new partnerships, products and operating practices.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience: Strong programme/project management experience is sought; complex multi-stakeholder launches are ideal.
- Technical: Structured analysis and ability to build plans, frameworks and reporting from scratch are sought.
- Preferred: Hotels, travel, travel technology or online-travel-agency experience is helpful but not required.
