What You'll Work On
- Own allocated systems-engineering work packages against agreed time, budget, client specifications and project quality requirements.
- Produce and approve design concepts, drawings, specifications and technical documents, including feasibility, outline and detailed-design reports.
- Prepare and check engineering designs and calculations, supervise colleagues’ work and sign design certificates where authorised.
- Establish internal design standards and processes and contribute new techniques and practices to the office’s technical development.
- Support expressions of interest, tenders and project correspondence while applying relevant health, safety, environmental and CDM requirements.

- Experience: Systems-engineering leadership on significant, complex projects, including planning and technical-resource allocation, is sought.
- Technical: Authority in requirements, architecture, modelling, integration, configuration/change control, migration, verification, validation and assurance is sought.
- Technical: Systems performance/quality metrics and specialist systems disciplines such as safety, security, RAM, EMC or human factors are sought.
- Qualification: A relevant degree and membership of a relevant engineering institution, such as ICE, IET or IMechE, are sought.
- Qualification: Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and a recognised systems credential such as ASEP, CSEP, CPRE or a specialist safety-critical qualification are sought.
- Experience: Contract conditions, processes/procedures and line-management experience are sought.
