Key Notes
Listed-company reporting, technical accounting and liquidity ownership sit together in this FTSE 250 leadership role. The Head produces IFRS statements, leads audits, owns statutory accounts and cashflow forecasts, advises the CFO, Board and Audit Committee, and leads Provision 29 controls work. The hybrid London role offers £100,000 to £120,000, equity and bonus; substantial listed-company and post-qualification experience is listed.
What You'll Work On
- Produce Trainline’s IFRS annual and half-year listed financial statements and the Group annual report for external publication.
- Lead external audits and reviews, including stakeholder updates and preparation of papers for Trainline’s Audit Committee.
- Oversee statutory-account production and filing for Trainline subsidiaries across the United Kingdom and international markets under local reporting deadlines.
- Own Group cashflow forecasting and analyse liquidity, capital allocation and capital structure for CFO and Board decisions.
- Set technical accounting positions and lead Finance work on Provision 29 controls, accounting policies and reporting-system changes.
Why This Role Matters
- Trainline’s IFRS statements, annual report and subsidiary accounts are subject to listed-company scrutiny, making researched accounting positions and controlled filing timelines consequential for external reporting.
- CFO and Board decisions on liquidity, capital allocation and capital structure draw on the Group cashflow forecast and analysis owned by this role.
