Civil design work spans outline and detailed stages for transport and infrastructure projects delivered from Birmingham, Manchester or York. The engineer coordinates third-party and multidisciplinary inputs, checks procedures, reports progress and works within budgets, programmes and quality controls. The profile lists civil qualifications, Eurocodes, analysis and drawing tools including AutoCAD and Bentley products, and progress towards ICE or IStructE accreditation; resident-engineer experience is advantageous. The contract is permanent.
What You'll Work On
- Prepare outline and detailed civil designs for single-discipline and multidisciplinary transport and infrastructure projects within assigned work packages.
- Coordinate civil information with other disciplines, third parties and external engineers against project specifications and interface requirements.
- Check delivery procedures and technical outputs against agreed budgets, programmes, quality controls and project procedures.
- Report design progress and technical issues to senior engineers, technical leads and project management while applying project safety procedures.

What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: A degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Civil Structures or Civil Environmental engineering, and progress towards ICE or IStructE accreditation, are sought.
- Experience: Supervised design delivery with responsibility for project/work-package outputs, and previous site experience, are sought.
- Technical: Relevant analysis programmes and the packages printed as Micro draining, Tedds, IdeaStatica, AutoCAD, Autodesk Robot and Bentley Products are sought.
- Domain: Construction principles, Eurocodes, discipline interfaces and commercial conditions affecting budgets and timescales are sought.
- Preferred: Resident-engineer experience is advantageous.
