What You'll Work On
- Coordinate daily depot engineering and planned or reactive maintenance, supporting team supervision and performance management to improve fleet reliability.
- Analyse vehicle performance and breakdown trends, recommending improvements to availability and maintenance effectiveness with the Engineering Manager.
- Support engineering procurement, spare parts and external services, helping control costs and deliver fleet upgrades or infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain safety and environmental compliance and support incident investigations, coordinating operational and finance colleagues and preparing engineering performance reports.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: A Level 3 mechanical, electrical or related engineering qualification.
- Experience: Transport or heavy-industry engineering and supervision or support of technicians or engineers.
- Technical: Vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repair knowledge, technical-data interpretation and competent Microsoft Office or engineering systems.
- Domain: Relevant health-and-safety and environmental legislation.
- Stakeholder: Communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement.
