Major Rail & Transit projects are led through the Transportation Project Delivery Practice in this senior management post. It may act as Project Director on smaller rail assignments, with responsibility for team delivery and commercial targets. The full-time role offers four home-office choices and requires travel across the UK and Ireland two to three days each week.
What You'll Work On
- Lead major rail projects or direct smaller assignments, coordinating multidisciplinary managers and designers around scope, programme, cost, risk and interfaces.
- Manage project revenue, profit and cash-flow targets and report performance while administering contracts and meeting client, governance, technical and HSE requirements.
- Plan delivery resources and mentor project managers and assistants, sharing lessons and useful practice across the project-management community.
- Build rail-client relationships, support regional strategy and lead bids that present achievable delivery approaches and suitably planned project solutions.

What They Are Looking For
- Experience: Relevant experience includes large multidisciplinary UK infrastructure assignments exceeding £5 million annual design fees and heavy-rail or mass-transit delivery.
- Technical: Relevant knowledge includes design procedures, change control, checking and review, and NEC3/4 or bespoke contracts.
- Preferred: Professional membership and recognised project-management competence such as MAPM, MICE, PMQ or ChPP are desirable.
