Key Notes
Rail-systems projects are the delivery setting, but prior rail-system experience is preferred rather than required. This UK-location-flexible post needs experience taking multidisciplinary works through construction and entry into service, managing subcontractors and controlling programme, cost and change. The remit spans design, construction and commissioning through the full lifecycle, plus bids and team development; security clearance may be required.
What You'll Work On
- Plan and deliver projects through completion, managing safety, risk, budget, schedule and quality within the Rail Systems portfolio and agreed project controls.
- Coordinate design, construction and commissioning resources and the main delivery schedule, balancing client requirements with AtkinsRéalis quality standards and milestones.
- Maintain client relationships and manage delivery interfaces with internal teams and supply-chain partners throughout the project lifecycle and associated change activity.
- Contribute to bids and tenders and support colleagues’ development through technical training and mentoring within the Complex Projects business.
Why This Role Matters
- Rail projects can move from design through commissioning under an integrated schedule, helping delivery teams coordinate resources and resolve dependencies before key milestones.
- Clients gain visibility and control of project cost, risk and quality when whole-lifecycle management links delivery decisions with contractual and performance commitments.
