What You'll Work On
- Act as lead independent assessor for AsBo work under CSM-REA and ISA projects under the stated railway safety standards and EN ISO 17020.
- Deliver independent safety assessment and interoperability assurance with clients and internal teams across engineering disciplines and stages of the project lifecycle.
- Challenge project decisions and discuss safety requirements with stakeholders, shaping assurance services around the engineering issues and needs identified on each project.
- Manage assessment programmes and budgets and contribute to bids, pricing and shared technical practice within the Safety Engineering and Independent Verification team.

What They Are Looking For
- Domain: Relevant domain knowledge includes AsBo/ISA assessment, CSM-REA, EN 50126/50128/50129/50716, EN ISO 17020 and railway interoperability requirements. Relevant railway standards also include TSIs, NTSNs, RGS and RIS.
- Technical: Relevant methods include HAZID, HAZOP, FMECA, FTA, RAM analysis, hazard mitigation assessment and safety-assessment documentation.
- Experience: Authorisation of rolling stock, signalling and infrastructure and liaison with approval authorities or independent bodies are sought.
- Qualification: Membership of, or an application to, a relevant recognised professional institution is sought.
- Eligibility: Security clearance may be required; if so, UKSV may request evidence of five or more years of UK residency. Do not include current or previous clearance details in your application.
