It undertakes Contractor’s Engineering Manager responsibilities and coordinates national and international engineering resources, with scope to support other transport markets. The role is full-time across five UK locations. Prior technical-management and CEM experience are listed, alongside mentoring and workbank growth.
What You'll Work On
- Lead engineering management and multidisciplinary design packages across major rail and light-rail projects, coordinating resources through all stages of delivery.
- Manage engineering budgets and programmes, undertake CEM duties and lead the application of CSM/CDM requirements across assigned projects.
- Coordinate discipline interfaces and apply systems thinking to technical assurance, maintaining close working relationships with transport clients and delivery teams.
- Lead technical bids and proposals, develop the engineering-management workbank and mentor junior colleagues in the quality of engineering design delivery.

What They Are Looking For
- Experience: Relevant experience includes rail design/construction management, technical-management leadership and experience undertaking the CEM role.
- Qualification: A relevant engineering or numerate degree and Chartered or Incorporated status are sought.
- Domain: Relevant expertise covers rail safety and standards, technical tender leadership, pricing, workbank growth and mentoring engineering colleagues.
