Reporting to the Head of Airworthiness, this full-time Bristol role leads Valo’s path from early design to type certification. The remit includes international authority negotiations, a specialist team, and continued-airworthiness support after certification.
What You'll Work On
- Define the certification basis and compliance methods with aviation authorities, developing plans, test proposals and verification strategies across technical disciplines.
- Coordinate inspections, flight and environmental tests, controlling design changes and maintaining traceability between certification requirements and supporting technical evidence.
- Lead certification specialists and supplier engagement, resolving programme risks and supporting continued airworthiness and modifications after the initial aircraft approval.

- Experience: Relevant experience includes 10+ years in aircraft certification, major modification/STC or major regulatory engagement.
- Domain: Relevant domain knowledge includes airworthiness standards, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160 and ARP4754A/ARP4761 or equivalents.
- Stakeholder: Relevant stakeholder skills include international aviation-authority negotiation and cross-disciplinary team leadership.
- Technical: Relevant technical capabilities include programme risk management, planning and configuration control.
