What You'll Work On
- Advise transport officers on data protection, FOI and EIR requests, including exemptions and the public interest test.
- Develop governance policies and data-sharing controls for major transport programmes, new systems and collections of personal information.
- Investigate serious data incidents and coordinate escalation, regulatory correspondence and mitigation with the Information Governance Manager and information owners.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: A degree or equivalent relevant experience in data protection or information governance, plus a relevant professional qualification or training.
- Experience: Practical experience in a similar governance role and in projects or large programmes.
- Domain: Detailed knowledge of data protection law, FOI, transparency and records management.
- Technical: Understanding of information security and compliance in Microsoft 365.
