Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and acting as Deputy Monitoring Officer, you’ll coordinate legal input across the service and lead advice in procurement, contracts, property or related public-law areas. Substantial local-government and political-context experience is required. The permanent Leeds role pays £79,808 and closes 4 October.
What You'll Work On
- Coordinate legal input within Legal, Governance and Compliance, acting as Deputy Monitoring Officer and leading advice in assigned specialist areas.
- Advise on procurement, contracts, property and public-law questions arising through the authority’s project development and delivery activities across programmes.
- Provide legal advice to Members, committees and boards, explaining options and statutory obligations within the authority’s established governance framework.
