What You'll Work On
- Define Masabi’s platform blueprint, architecture standards and best practices, and guide how engineering teams apply those standards.
- Design and deliver scalable, robust and cost-efficient services, contributing code, technical reviews and targeted implementation work.
- Shape data architecture and strategy for how data generated across Masabi’s platform is structured, stored and used.
- Advise engineering teams on scalability, performance, resilience and cost challenges, and contribute to roadmap planning and platform-improvement priorities.
- Produce architecture documentation, support complex RFP estimates and technical scoping, and contribute to API governance and technical forums.

- Experience: Principal or Staff-level work shaping technical direction across multiple teams or domains is sought.
- Technical: Distributed systems, microservices, cloud platforms and modern infrastructure practices are sought; AWS is preferred.
- Technical: Data architecture experience across platforms, pipelines, warehousing or data lakes, and products using large data stores, is sought.
- Technical: Strong REST API design in complex multi-service environments is sought.
- Experience: Contributions to engineering standards, architecture patterns or platform direction are sought.
- Preferred: Monolith decomposition, event-driven architecture, cloud-cost improvement, or exposure to Kafka, Kotlin, Java, DynamoDB, MySQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Terraform or GitLab CI/CD is advantageous.
