Key Notes
Commercial legal ownership covers Masabi’s largest public procurements and customer contracts, alongside SaaS, licensing, implementation, data-processing, privacy, IP and cross-jurisdictional advice. Relevant expertise includes a law degree, current practising certificate and several years post-qualification experience, but explicitly says candidates need not tick every box. The role is remote across the UK, with optional hybrid working for London-based candidates.
What You'll Work On
- Lead the legal workstream on major tenders and public procurements, shaping Masabi’s position on contractual terms.
- Negotiate and close large customer agreements spanning SaaS, licensing, implementation, professional services and related commercial terms.
- Draft and negotiate NDAs, data-processing terms, partnership and reseller agreements across Masabi’s global commercial activity.
- Advise on privacy, data protection, intellectual property, licensing and cross-jurisdictional commercial questions.
- Work directly with the CEO, CFO and CPO to translate legal risk into practical commercial choices.
Why This Role Matters
- Masabi’s public-sector tenders and major customer contracts depend on legal positions being settled before signature, so negotiation decisions determine which contractual risks the business accepts.
- Executive decisions across the UK, North America and other markets rely on legal advice covering privacy, IP, licensing and jurisdictional issues, making risk translation material to how commercial choices are made.
