Engineering quality experience and familiarity with railway standards are the principal selection factors for this six-month contract; Alstom does not expect candidates to have every listed skill. Based fully on site in Derby, it pays approximately £60,000 plus bonus. The remit covers engineering audits, Design Reviews, DFMEA and the resolution of quality issues across projects, with lessons from completed work feeding back into engineering practice.
What You'll Work On
- Inspect, review and audit engineering deliverables against the applicable quality processes, identifying and resolving issues across the site's project work.
- Deploy Design Reviews and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis across engineering projects, alongside lean processes and Right First Time methods.
- Run the Return of Experience process, recording lessons from engineering quality issues and incorporating them into standards and working practices.
