Eight or more years in employee relations, labour relations or employment law are required, with practical UK legal knowledge and experience of European works councils and trade unions. You will lead investigations, manager training and compliance frameworks, supporting Europe where needed. This full-time, hybrid London role pays £118,000–£124,000 and includes travel of up to 20%.
What You'll Work On
- Investigate complex employee matters and develop UK employment-compliance frameworks, partnering with Employment Legal and People colleagues on consistent performance processes.
- Train managers on regional employment practices and adapt global policies, playbooks and governance controls to UK legal and cultural requirements.
- Advise colleagues on works councils and trade unions, providing employee-relations support in Europe as needed while monitoring statutory compliance.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: A bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources or Labour Relations, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: At least eight years in employee relations, labour relations or employment law, including independent, sensitive investigations across jurisdictions.
- Domain: Practical UK employment-law knowledge and experience with European works councils and trade unions.
- Stakeholder: Coaching international leaders, particularly US managers, and building programmes, roadmaps and OKRs while managing concurrent deadlines.
- Preferred: Advanced legal qualifications or CIPD Level 7, another Western European language, collective consultation experience and AI-tool fluency.
