This senior post carries end-to-end ownership of multiple charging-hub sites and calls for commercial judgement alongside technical curiosity and rigorous organisation. You’ll find land, negotiate leases, secure planning and power, manage installation and improve operating sites while deciding when to challenge or redesign around constraints. The Edinburgh role pays £55,000–£75,000 plus share options and is office-led most days, with site travel and occasional home-working flexibility.
What You'll Work On
- Own multiple charging-hub developments from location strategy and site acquisition through lease, planning, construction, commissioning and energisation.
- Negotiate with landlords and commercial agents while balancing route capacity, planning conditions, grid constraints and contractor pricing across the site portfolio.
- Direct network operators, suppliers and advisers through power connections, charger procurement and installation without outsourcing the project’s key technical decisions.
- Visit operational hubs to diagnose practical shortcomings and improve charging, parking, washing and driver facilities across Ember’s growing network.

- Technical: You already use AI tools to research unfamiliar subjects and draft documents as part of your normal work.
- Experience: You are comfortable working on sites and at a desk, discussing practical details with landlords and electricians and examining contracts.
