Substantial modern rolling-stock engineering, depot and contract-compliance experience is required for this London Overground fleet leadership post. What You'll Work On
- Manage rolling-stock availability, reliability, cleanliness and depot performance through maintainer agreements, concession obligations and structured performance reporting.
- Establish asset-management, assurance, audit and reliability-growth plans with operators, maintainers and internal London Overground stakeholders.
- Lead technical approvals, engineering-change control, incident closure, risk files and compliance against rolling-stock legislation, leases and operating agreements.
- Direct projects affecting passenger services, fleets, depots and stabling while identifying safety, environmental, reliability and cost improvements.

- Experience: Substantial rolling-stock engineering experience in operating depots, manufacturing, maintenance or train-operating environments.
- Technical: Strong knowledge of modern 750V DC and 25kV fleets, diagnostics, maintenance, overhaul and depot operations.
- Experience: Applicants need proven audit, contract-compliance, reliability-growth and technical-risk management capability.
- Qualification: Relevant engineering HNC, HND, degree or apprenticeship with extensive directly relevant experience.
- Preferred: Professional engineering membership and Chartered Engineer status, or active progress towards chartership.
