Embedded software architecture and team leadership are the responsibilities of ANGOKA’s Head of Software. You’ll own the ACS software stack and HMI applications, guide secure communication networking and lead prototype-to-product delivery. At least eight years’ hands-on C/C++ embedded development and technical team leadership are required, alongside Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking and industrial HMI experience. The full-time Belfast role is office based and reports to the Engineering Director.
What You'll Work On
- Own ACS embedded architecture and HMI design authority, developing secure Layer 2 and Layer 3 communications with routing and network orchestration.
- Set embedded design standards, code reviews, release controls and quality gates, coordinating security and safety compliance with hardware and systems engineering leads.
- Lead rapid prototyping and product delivery from TRL3 towards TRL8, planning work packages, schedules, dependencies and risks across concurrent customer projects.
- Manage and mentor embedded and HMI engineers and support technical bids, translating client requirements into costed software plans and Statements of Work.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience: At least eight years of hands-on C/C++ embedded development, architecture and production-system delivery.
- Experience: Technical leadership, team management and mentoring of embedded engineers.
- Technical: Secure Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, orchestration and routing, plus industrial or cyber-physical HMI applications.
- Preferred: Secure communications, applied cryptography, embedded-security co-design and relevant security or safety frameworks are desirable.
- Preferred: Cloud or backend development, AI development tools, wireless or industrial communications and relevant delivery tooling are advantageous.
