Key Notes
Cryptography, access control and quantum-security projects include connected and autonomous vehicles alongside remotely piloted aircraft and drones. ANGOKA's Belfast post is full-time and office-based, covering software implementation, testing and accreditation. Relevant expertise includes two to four years of software-development experience and object-oriented programming; C/C++, Python, automated testing, cross-platform development and networking are explicitly non-essential advantages.
What You'll Work On
- Develop end-to-end security solutions with software and firmware colleagues across ANGOKA’s cryptography, cybersecurity and communication technology work.
- Contribute to high-level specifications, and design and implement software components within the engineering team’s integrated security solutions.
- Contribute to test plans and test complete products, including implemented components, for functionality and conformance with product requirements.
- Support product accreditation stages and work with engineering and security colleagues to integrate ANGOKA solutions with third-party software.
- Evaluate and verify new technologies that could advance ANGOKA’s security solutions and their software implementation.
Why This Role Matters
- ANGOKA's security products combine software and firmware; implementation and end-to-end testing check that components function as intended and meet the product requirements.
- ANGOKA's connected-vehicle and other security solutions go through accreditation and third-party integration, with this engineer contributing software and test evidence to those product stages.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience: Two to four years of software-development experience is sought.
- Technical: Object-oriented programming, debugging and fault-finding are sought.
- Qualification: An engineering, computer-science or related degree is sought.
- Language: Good spoken and written technical English is sought.
- Domain: An interest in cybersecurity and the secure development lifecycle is sought.
- Preferred: C/C++ or Python, automated build/test, cross-platform applications and networking knowledge are explicitly non-essential advantages.
