Public-transport ITCS hardware installation and technical support are the work of this trainee night-shift role at ebblo. You’ll configure vehicle and site systems, troubleshoot faults and maintain service records. A National Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent practical experience and a full clean driving licence are required. The full-time Loughton role pays £27,000 and involves London fieldwork, UK and Ireland travel and potential overseas work; occasional day cover is required.
What You'll Work On
- Install, configure and maintain ebblo ITCS hardware in vehicles and on-site locations, checking system condition and supporting reliable public-transport technology.
- Resolve technical support incidents and preventative-maintenance issues, diagnosing faults and seeking first-time fixes that reduce customer-system downtime.
- Maintain support-call, maintenance and system-change records, providing accurate evidence for quality reviews, customer SLAs and technical performance reporting.
- Support small technical projects and new field solutions, coordinating internal teams and identifying improvements to public-transport system reliability and service delivery.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: A National Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical: Basic electrical or electronic understanding and demonstrated technical fault diagnosis.
- Stakeholder: Clear explanation of technical problems to non-technical customers, with independent time management.
- Eligibility: A full clean driving licence, UK and Ireland travel capability and night or weekend availability when required.
- Preferred: Public-transport knowledge, mobile-data installation and MPT1327 or DMR wireless-system familiarity are advantageous.
