What You'll Work On

  • Install, configure and commission equipment and systems entering Cubic’s Test area, agreeing equipment needs with Test and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain test environments, investigate error logs and replace defective units to keep test equipment in working order.
  • Coordinate patches and smoke tests for the different environments with IT Infrastructure teams.
  • Arrange correction of defective modules with the Repair Centre and report progress, issues and complications to management.
  • Maintain equipment configuration records and prepare the test area for customer visits and witnessed tests.

What They Are Looking For

  • Experience: Test experience across multiple devices in transport, automated fare collection or automotive is required.
  • Qualification: An engineering degree or equivalent qualification or experience is required.
  • Technical: Basic network knowledge is required, alongside Networking, Unix or Microsoft qualifications, or equivalent qualifications or experience.
  • Technical: Formal Microsoft Azure training or extensive experience and Microsoft MCSE/MSCA accreditations are required.
  • Eligibility: Basic security checks are required for this role.
  • Preferred: ITIL Foundation, City & Guilds 2394 and 2395 Electrical Testing & Connecting Certification or similar, and Siemens IC 4 Configuration training and accreditation are desirable.
