Key Notes
Search, supply and checkout investigations are the work of this Trainline Senior Data Scientist. You’ll own analytical problems across customer journeys, link diverse datasets and develop reusable tools for recurring issues. Senior data-science experience, end-to-end business ownership and strong SQL and Python are required, with mentoring and evidence of product-analytics impact. The full-time London role is hybrid, requiring at least 60% office attendance over a twelve-week period.

- Develop product and commercial opportunities from analysis, coordinating Data, Product, Engineering and Commercial teams to turn findings into lasting customer improvements.
- Build reusable investigative tools and analytical approaches, reducing repeat analysis time and improving the wider team’s ability to solve recurring data problems.
- Mentor data colleagues and coordinate work across business areas, taking responsibility for analytical methods and outcomes rather than isolated reporting tasks.
