CEng or IEng, relevant professional membership and experience as a CRE, Deputy CRE, Workpackage Manager or Deputy Engineering Manager are required. Based in Derby, you’ll lead railway civil and structural design, manage technical suppliers and project budgets, and support bids. The role combines hands-on engineering with guidance for junior staff and multidisciplinary coordination.
What You'll Work On
- Lead railway civil and structural design, assessment and maintenance work, providing discipline inputs to multidisciplinary projects and guiding junior engineers.
- Manage drawings, calculations, reports and specifications, alongside agreed scopes, budgets, programmes and the quality of technical supplier deliverables.
- Develop civil engineering bids and tenders, manage client relationships and compare technical options using engineering judgement and analytical evidence.
