MCIPS qualification or progress towards it, public-sector procurement experience and basic contract-law knowledge are minimum requirements. You’ll lead tenders, negotiate contracts and manage suppliers across GWR spend categories during its transition to public ownership. Based in Swindon, the role pays up to £56,000; part-time hours above 30 per week would be considered.
What You'll Work On
- Lead sourcing strategies and competitive PA23-compliant tenders across GWR categories including professional services, facilities services, cleaning and fuel.
- Negotiate commercial terms and manage post-award supplier relationships, identifying consolidation opportunities and reviewing contractual arrangements across procurement categories.
- Support regulated procurement during GWR’s transition to public ownership, coordinating requirements and commercial decisions with internal and external stakeholders.
