Technical leadership owns strategy and architecture for Tracsis’s AWS-based platform, spanning Amazon EKS, Istio, ArgoCD, Terraform, Crossplane, GitLab CI/CD, production reliability and developer self-service. The remote role includes visits to Leeds and combines incident ownership, engineering mentorship, security, observability, automation and FinOps across shared platform services.
What You'll Work On
- Own technical strategy and architecture for Tracsis’s AWS-based platform and its cloud-native capabilities.
- Drive incident management, reliability, observability and on-call production ownership across shared platform services.
- Build secure, observable and scalable self-service platform capabilities for development teams.
- Mentor engineers, improve developer experience and automate recurring platform work while managing cloud cost.

- Developers using Tracsis’s AWS platform can deploy through self-service capabilities and automated GitOps workflows, reducing the manual steps involved in delivering cloud-native services.
- Production incidents on the AWS platform are investigated through observability tools and on-call ownership, allowing faults to be diagnosed and recovery work coordinated within the platform team.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience: Relevant experience includes 5–8+ years in Platform Engineering, SRE or DevOps roles.
- Technical: Strong production experience with Amazon EKS, Istio service mesh and GitOps is sought.
- Technical: Hands-on Terraform, Crossplane, GitLab CI/CD, Linux and at least one of Python, Go, Java or C# are sought.
- Technical: Self-service platform experience at scale, Vault and IAM security, Grafana-stack observability and FinOps are sought.
- Experience: Comfort with on-call work and production ownership is sought.
- Preferred: Exposure to GKE or Azure is explicitly described as a plus.
