Qualified-accountant status and substantial financial-control experience are required for this Trainline Head role. You’ll lead through two Senior Finance Managers, own month-end standards and accounting judgement and coordinate cost budgeting with FP&A. IFRS, listed-company governance, senior business partnering and finance-team development are required, including ERP or automation experience. The full-time London role is hybrid with at least 60% office attendance over twelve weeks; multi-currency or listed-business experience is advantageous.
What You'll Work On
- Lead Financial Control through two Senior Finance Managers, developing senior-team capability and maintaining accountability for management accounts and month-end delivery standards.
- Oversee balance-sheet integrity, reconciliations and working capital, applying accounting judgement and supporting audit-ready reporting and documented IFRS policy decisions.
- Maintain internal controls and Order-to-Cash standards, coordinating automation and cross-functional projects with Legal, Commercial, Product and Technology.
- Own cost budgeting with FP&A and advise senior budget holders, overseeing working-capital risks and deputising for the Group Financial Controller when required.
What They Are Looking For
- Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification with significant post-qualification month-end, balance-sheet, reconciliation and working-capital experience.
- Experience: Managing and developing senior finance managers or teams through delegated direction and performance standards.
- Domain: Strong IFRS and listed-company governance knowledge and confident accounting-policy judgement.
- Stakeholder: Senior non-finance business partnering, trust building and end-to-end project leadership.
- Technical: ERP or finance-automation platform experience.
- Preferred: Listed or multi-currency business experience is advantageous rather than essential.
