Head of Fleet Operations (UK)

Wayve London, United KingdomOn-SiteFull Time

Key Notes

UK on-road ADAS testing operates across two shifts spanning 06:30–23:30, seven days a week, although the post itself is Monday to Friday with occasional on-call duties. The head converts customer-focused testing strategy into tactical plans, controls fleet and workforce capacity, and owns UK incident escalation. The role is based in London, with in-person attendance for the large majority of the time.

What You'll Work On

  • Convert Wayve’s UK on-road ADAS testing strategy and company milestones into detailed tactical operating plans for London and wider UK activity.
  • Direct Shift Leads and allocate vehicle and workforce capacity across two daily shifts operating seven days each week.
  • Own UK on-road risk, incident escalation and safety-critical decisions while improving testing procedures, protocols and team performance.
  • Coordinate Fleet Servicing, Field Engineering, Operational Safety, Training, Systems, Insights and Quality Assurance around UK testing operations.
  • Align software, hardware, Product and international Fleet Operations leaders on testing priorities, outputs and global operating standards.

Why This Role Matters

  • UK on-road ADAS testing runs across two shifts and seven days, making fleet availability and workforce allocation direct constraints on scheduled testing output.

  • Experience: Proven operational management experience is essential; automotive testing, technology or a comparable safety-critical field is ideal.
  • Experience: Five-plus years managing large teams and/or an advanced management degree or equivalent is essential.

  • Domain: Resource planning and allocation across fleet and personnel is essential.
  • Stakeholder: Working across software, hardware, Product and global Fleet Operations leadership is essential.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with ADAS technology and on-road testing requirements, and staffing-agency experience, are desirable.
