Global Head of Training

Wayve London, United KingdomOn-SiteFull Time

Key Notes

Global training architecture covers Vehicle Safety Operators and supporting teams across the UK, US, Germany and Japan. The head leads regional trainers, certification pathways, readiness metrics and rapid updates from product or safety findings. This London-office-based appointment works Monday to Friday, oversees seven-day operations and includes occasional on-call responsibility.

What You'll Work On

  • Define the global training strategy, operating model, curricula, onboarding pathways and certification frameworks for on-road and maintenance operational roles.
  • Own operational readiness, ensuring Vehicle Safety Operators meet performance and safety thresholds before live on-road deployment.
  • Convert product requirements, safety findings and operational insights into rapid, targeted training updates across four international markets.
  • Lead Regional Training Leads and Training Coordinators while allowing delivery to adapt to local operational and regulatory conditions.
  • Establish training-effectiveness metrics, certification records, operational dashboards and reporting that identify workforce readiness gaps and prioritise targeted interventions.

Why This Role Matters

  • Vehicle Safety Operators work within live on-road programmes across four countries; common curricula and certification thresholds determine whether workforce readiness is assessed consistently before deployment.
  • Wayve’s changing products and operational findings feed into rapid training updates, keeping operator training aligned with current product requirements and safety lessons across regions.

What They Are Looking For

  • Experience: Significant leadership in training, capability development, operations enablement or workforce readiness is essential.
  • Experience: Building multi-site or international onboarding, certification and recurrent-training programmes for operational roles is essential.
  • Domain: Translating operational, product or safety requirements into training content and readiness criteria is essential.
  • Technical: Using assessment and performance data pipelines to identify gaps and produce metrics, dashboards and reporting is essential.
  • Stakeholder: Leading managers or senior contributors and aligning Operations, Product and Safety stakeholders across a distributed function is essential.
  • Preferred: Autonomous vehicles, transport, robotics, logistics, aviation, defence, regulated certification, audit records or mixed-workforce transitions are desirable.
