What You'll Work On

  • Draft, review and negotiate rolling-stock maintenance, modification and lease agreements, managing contract development and the performance arrangements through delivery.
  • Advise engineering managers on warranties, commercial risks and value opportunities arising within rolling-stock contracts and associated lifecycle governance processes.
  • Manage relationships with ROSCOs, suppliers and senior internal stakeholders, coordinating their input to fleet contractual decisions and performance reviews.

What They Are Looking For

  • Qualification: You have a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, ideally in an engineering discipline, and IMechE qualification, progress towards it or equivalent professional credibility.
  • Experience: You have at least five years’ experience in an engineering or asset-heavy environment and have developed contracts beyond administering template agreements.
  • Stakeholder: You can influence engineers, suppliers and senior leaders, applying detailed analysis to technically complex contractual matters.
  • Preferred: Experience in rail, rolling stock, transport, defence or heavy engineering is desirable, as are maintenance, modification or asset-based contracts and commercial or financial knowledge.
  • Eligibility: You must meet the employer’s right-to-work checks without work visa sponsorship for this role.
