Rail-retail and enterprise partner decisions are the work of this Trainline Data Analyst. You’ll investigate customer behaviour, produce dashboards and shape measurements for Trainline Partner Solutions with Product and Data Science. Strong SQL, commercial analytics and responsible AI-assisted coding are required, alongside clear insight communication and visualisation. The full-time London role is hybrid with at least 60% office attendance over twelve weeks; DBT experience is an additional advantage.
What You'll Work On
- Analyse partner and customer behaviour for rail retail and enterprise products, translating complex datasets into practical product and commercial recommendations.
- Build dashboards, reports and presentations for senior stakeholders and external partners, explaining reliable analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coordinate analytical approaches with Data Scientists, Product and Design, integrating evidence from discovery through partner-solution delivery.
- Define product and partner success measures and organise concurrent analytical workstreams, improving the use of data across Trainline Partner Solutions.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience: Analytics supporting commercial decisions and complex business questions.
- Technical: Strong SQL and accurate analysis of large datasets, with responsible AI-assisted coding or basic workflow automation.
- Stakeholder: Clear insight communication to senior stakeholders and partners, with polished analytical storytelling.
- Technical: Data visualisation, ideally Python, Tableau, Power BI or similar.
- Experience: Organisation across multiple analytical workstreams and ambiguous priorities.
- Preferred: DBT or modern data-transformation workflow experience is an advantage.
