Business analysis and transformation delivery are the activities of this SYSTRA rail consultant, gathering requirements and coordinating change, benefits and governance. The permanent role is hybrid, with London, Manchester, Birmingham, York and Leeds listed as possible bases, subject to confirmation. Rail or comparable transport or operational experience and business-analysis capability are required, including MoSCoW prioritisation and process mapping; a relevant degree or equivalent experience is accepted. This is a full-time role.
What You'll Work On
- Gather and document rail-business, operational and stakeholder requirements, developing clear specifications, recommendations and current-state or future-state process maps.
- Support rail transformation through change-impact assessments, implementation plans, benefits tracking and communications, coordinating decisions with clients, operational teams and delivery partners.
- Maintain programme plans, milestones, RAID logs and governance reporting, integrating complex information and ensuring work packages meet quality, time and budget requirements.
- Guide less-experienced colleagues and develop client relationships and proposals, improving business-analysis tools and methods and presenting project findings to stakeholders.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience: Rail or a comparable transport or operational environment, with business analysis, change management, transformation or programme-support experience.
- Technical: Requirements documentation, business, functional and non-functional categorisation, MoSCoW prioritisation and process mapping with supporting narratives.
- Experience: Complex-organisational change, including impact assessment, implementation, benefits definition and tracking.
- Technical: Plans, RAID logs, action trackers and governance reporting, with analysis of complex data and rail operational-process knowledge.
- Stakeholder: Client and partner engagement, coordination of multiple workstreams and clear written and verbal communication.
- Qualification: A relevant degree or equivalent experience, with significant experience in a relevant technical discipline.
