Key Notes
In the client-side assurance team, you’ll oversee a client-side commercial and PMO team providing programme-wide assurance over cost, schedule, risk and change. The role covers Line of Defence 2 controls, EVM and EAC testing, supply-chain risk and contract deliverables. At least seven years’ NEC experience, a relevant degree and chartered professional membership are sought. This is a permanent hybrid role in London or Bristol.
What You'll Work On
- Oversee commercial assurance across the client’s capital programme, testing earned-value, forecast, change-control and risk information against funding and governance requirements.
- Lead contractual reporting and commercial deliverables for programme projects, reviewing the evidence used to assess client exposure and financial commitments.
- Develop the commercial team and coach junior colleagues in programme assurance, coordinating the people and capabilities required for the client’s work.
Why This Role Matters
- Capital-programme owners use project cost, risk and change evidence to review funding commitments, with commercial assurance testing the information reported through the programme.
- Contractual deliverables and forecasts link individual projects to programme governance, with the commercial manager responsible for the reporting used to evaluate the client’s financial exposure.

- Qualification: Degree in commercial management, quantity surveying or a similar discipline.
- Qualification: Applicants need chartered membership of CICES, RICS, CIArb or an equivalent body.
