Key Notes
Drainage and flood risk design must integrate with transport and civil engineering schemes in this principal SYSTRA vacancy. You will lead allocated water engineering packages, coordinate disciplines and maintain programme, budget and design quality. Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham are listed under a permanent hybrid contract; the criteria include a relevant engineering degree, SuDS expertise and tools such as MicroDrainage or InfoWorks, with chartership preferred rather than required. This is a full-time role.

- Control package priorities, task allocation, dependencies, programme, budget and quality, maintaining reporting and acceptance criteria for client outputs.
- Guide engineers and graduates through design reviews and practical feedback, improving repeatable methods and delivery tools across the water engineering team.
- Coordinate UK and international production teams and lead CDM design compliance, documenting hazard elimination and lessons learned for safer integrated schemes.

- Experience: Strong drainage, SuDS and water engineering design experience, with direct or virtual team leadership.
- Domain: Understanding of how water and flood risk design integrates with transportation or civil engineering projects.
