System-safety leadership at chartered level is central to this Old Oak Common Station role. You’ll manage CSM-RA, interoperability and regulatory assurance, maintain the hazard record and coordinate evidence with assessors and regulators. The permanent London position is hybrid, with work focused on the station’s staged entry into service.
What You'll Work On
- Lead the system-safety and interoperability strategy for Old Oak Common, maintaining assurance plans and compliance evidence through design, construction, testing and entry into service.
- Own the hazard record and coordinate CSM-RA activities, HAZID or HAZOP reviews, safety arguments and evidence from designers, contractors and delivery teams.
- Manage interfaces with independent assessors, notified bodies and the Office of Rail and Road, resolving assurance actions and regulatory issues.
- Provide technical leadership to safety engineers and translate project change into updated risk, compliance and acceptance evidence.

- Qualification: Applicants need engineering degree or equivalent experience, with chartered status or demonstrable progress toward professional registration.
