Chartered-level highways experience is sought for this Glasgow design-lead position. You’ll manage technical delivery, budgets and engineering teams across development and infrastructure schemes, while contributing to client relationships and bids. The permanent role is hybrid and combines responsibility for project outputs with guidance and development of less experienced colleagues.
What You'll Work On
- Lead highway and transportation design packages from feasibility through detailed design, applying DMRB and relevant local standards.
- Plan resources, budgets and programmes, review technical outputs and manage risks across multidisciplinary development and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate clients, approving authorities and internal engineering disciplines, resolving highway design interfaces and explaining technical recommendations for the scheme.
- Support proposals and business development while mentoring engineers and strengthening design capability in the Glasgow team.
