As a geotechnical project lead, you’ll lead geotechnical engineering projects and work packages, acting as CRE, project engineer or lead engineer on higher-risk work. Responsibilities include approving designs, reports and calculations, supervising teams and improving technical standards. Substantial geotechnical design, checking, contract and line-management experience is sought. This is a permanent hybrid role based in Birmingham, Manchester, York or Leeds.
What You'll Work On
- Lead geotechnical and engineering-geology teams on complex packages, producing and approving design concepts, calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
- Act as CRE, project engineer or lead engineer where assigned, overseeing technical checks and signing off relevant design certificates.
- Develop discipline standards and engineering staff, and contribute geotechnical expertise to tenders, client discussions and opportunities for further commissions.
