From Manchester head office, you’ll support commercial management of TransPennine Express rolling stock and fleet operations. The role covers leases, maintenance and depot agreements, fuel procurement, supplier negotiation, contract performance, budgets, audits, invoices and management reporting, with second-line on-call responsibility. Commercial, operational or procurement experience, strong analysis and negotiation skills and understanding of contracts, finance and governance are sought. Applications close 25 September 2026.
What You'll Work On
- Manage commercial matters for rolling-stock leases, service agreements, depot access and third-party hire, including supplier negotiations and performance reporting.
- Develop fleet budgets, forecasts and performance measures, and conduct audits and compliance reviews across the relevant contracts and procurement activity.
- Validate invoices and purchasing records, manage fleet fuel procurement and deputise for the Head of Fleet Commercial on assigned matters.

- Qualification: Relevant NVQ, ONC, HNC or degree-level education is preferred.
- Experience: Commercial, operational or procurement-environment experience.

- Experience: Applicants need strong analysis, reporting, organisation and Microsoft Office capability.
- Preferred: Rolling-stock, maintenance or UK rail-commercial knowledge; SAP, Power BI, RAVERS or TRUST exposure.
