SilverRail United Kingdom, United KingdomRemoteContract

Key Notes

SilverRail’s production MySQL databases support high-volume rail searches, bookings and ticketing. Five or more years of substantial MySQL responsibility and independent delivery with little ramp-up time are essential.

  • Design and maintain MySQL schemas, production databases, monitoring, capacity plans and health checks.
  • Optimise queries, indexes, latency and read/write splitting across high-traffic systems.
  • Manage AWS RDS provisioning, configuration, patching, backups, scaling, availability and disaster recovery.
  • Support incidents and root-cause analysis, review engineering changes and document standards and handover runbooks.

Why This Role Matters

  • SilverRail’s rail searches, bookings and ticketing transactions depend on MySQL performance and data integrity; schema, query and AWS RDS decisions affect latency and availability for operators and retailers.
