Based in Birmingham, you’ll lead multidisciplinary highways and transport-infrastructure design from Birmingham, covering active travel, bus priority, urban traffic management and public-realm schemes. The role owns project budgets, technical delivery, client relationships, tenders and team development. Chartered status, substantial consultancy experience and a record leading major transport projects are sought. This is a permanent hybrid role.
What You'll Work On
- Direct highway and development-infrastructure projects, managing budgets and multidisciplinary teams through preliminary and detailed design of assigned transport schemes.
- Oversee active-travel, bus-priority and urban traffic-management designs, including contract documentation, tendering, technical compliance and support during construction phases.
- Develop public and private client relationships, pursue infrastructure opportunities and mentor engineers contributing to the team’s design and delivery work.
